Steve Lavender

Steve Lavender has extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as Base Maintenance Manager at AirTanker since September 2010, with prior roles including Shift Manager and Senior Engineer. During a significant 18-month period, Steve acted as Shift Manager, engaging in equipment procurement, recruitment, and the development of procedures. Prior experience includes serving as an Avionic Supervisor and Hangar/Line Avionics Engineer at British Midland International and British Midland, where responsibilities included overseeing large wiring tasks and ensuring C Certification for A320 inspections. Steve began a career in the British Army as an Avionics Technician, managing all avionic systems and conducting necessary inspections and modifications. Steve's educational background includes studies at Princess Marina College, the School of Aeronautical Engineering, and John Mason School.
