Samuel Mugabe

Samuel Mugabe has a strong background in business intelligence and revenue planning. Samuel currently holds the position of Head - Business Intelligence and Revenue Planning at Airtel Uganda since April 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Head - Business Intelligence at Econet Wireless Zimbabwe from November 2013 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for implementing a group BI strategy to enhance decision-making processes. Before that, they worked as a Manager Planning and Business Analyst at MTN IT Shared Services from June 2011 to October 2013. Their earliest experience in the field was as a Business Intelligence Manager at MTN Uganda from October 2007 to May 2011, where they were responsible for developing applications and reporting solutions using various platforms.

Samuel Mugabe's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Makerere University, which they obtained from 2004 to 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Post Graduate Certificate in PC Server System Designing from Okinawa International Center, Japan, attending from 2000 to 2001. From 1996 to 1999, Samuel obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics and Computer Science from Makerere University as well.

Apart from their formal education, Samuel Mugabe has also obtained several certifications. Samuel completed the "How to Be a Positive Leader" course from LinkedIn in June 2019, the "Learning Data Science: Tell Stories With Data" course in February 2019, and the "Critical Thinking" course in January 2019. Other certifications include "Learning Web Analytics" (June 2018), "Data Visualization for Data Analysts" (December 2017), "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process" (October 2017), "Transitioning from Data Warehousing to Big Data" (September 2017), "Twelve Myths About Data Science" (September 2017), and "Advanced SQL for Data Scientists" (August 2017).
