Peter Grogan

Peter Grogan is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Energy Markets Ireland at SSE Airtricity since 2019, after previously holding the roles of Wholesale Energy Manager and Energy Portfolio Management. Prior experience includes working as an Energy Trader at ESB Trading and as a Commercial and Regulatory Analyst at Gaelectric Trading and Market Services, where responsibilities encompassed regulatory engagements, contract delivery, and market readiness for the I-SEM market. Peter's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from University College London and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Geography from University College Dublin, along with a year on an International Exchange Programme at the University of Auckland. Additionally, Peter gained experience as a stagaire in the European Parliament, engaging in stakeholder outreach and conducting independent research.
