Michael Stewart

Michael Stewart has extensive experience in the aerospace and telecommunications sectors, with a career at Airways New Zealand spanning from December 1985 to the present. As Manager Systems, Michael is accountable for the design, operational, and strategic direction of aeronautical communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. Previous roles include Manager Systems Engineering and Air Traffic Systems Engineering Manager, where responsibilities expanded to encompass national telecommunications networks and software development teams. As one of two Airways international senior consultants, Michael provided expertise in aerodrome networks and surveillance technologies for airport projects in Oman. Michael holds a Master's degree in Management and an Honours Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Canterbury, along with a NZ Diploma in Engineering (Telecommunications).
