Joel Forman, Ph.D., P.E.

Joel Forman, Ph.D., P.E. has a diverse work experience. In 2004, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Rochester Institute of Technology. Joel then worked as a Co-op Student at Polatin Corporation in 2005, and as an Engineering Analyst (Co-op) at The Raymond Corporation in 2006. In 2007, they worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at Exponent in various roles, including Managing Engineer, Senior Engineer, Senior Associate, and Associate. Finally, they are currently working as an Engineering Manager at AirWorks since 2022.

Joel Forman, Ph.D., P.E. obtained their education in a chronological order, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Mathematics from Rochester Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2007. Joel then pursued a Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 2007 to 2010, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2007 to 2012.

In addition to their educational background, Joel Forman, Ph.D., P.E. has obtained certifications from various institutions. In June 2021, they obtained the certifications of Getting Started with AI on Jetson Nano and Getting Started with DeepStream for Video Analytics on Jetson Nano from NVIDIA. In February 2020, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Machine Learning Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Finally, in January 2018, they obtained the Licensed Professional Control Systems Engineer certification from the Massachusetts Board of Professional Engineers.
