Skander Garroum

Skander Garroum has over a decade of work experience in various industries. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Customer Engagement Manager at Lufthansa. Skander then worked as a Research Assistant Professor at Technische Universität Dresden from 2009 to 2010. During this time, they also co-organized an internship of a group of Chinese students in the German Federal Ministries. In 2010, they were a Co-Producer for the largest startup competition in Europe. From 2012 to 2013, they were an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer at testhub GmbH, which was acquired by uTest/Applause. During this time, they also worked as a Workshop Lead for Code for America and a Growth Product Manager for Compass Inc., which was acquired by Sage and became their corporate AI group. From 2015 to present, they have been a Co-Founder of Airy, the world's leading open-source streaming platform for conversational data based on Apache Kafka.

Skander Garroum attended the Internationale Deutsche Schule Paris from 2000 to 2005, followed by the German Swiss International School from 2005 to 2010. Skander then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics & Business Administration at the University of Mannheim from 2010 to 2013.
