Rachel Heavener

Rachel Heavener, CP APMP, has a robust background in proposal management and business development, currently serving as a Senior Proposal Manager at Applied Information Sciences since May 2021. Previously, Rachel managed proposal teams at Sierra Nevada Corporation from June 2016 to May 2021, overseeing submissions with various security classifications. Rachel's experience as a Proposal Manager and Technical Writer at Sodexo from August 2011 to June 2016 involved managing, writing, and editing proposals and pre-proposal projects. Earlier, at Varsity Facility Services, Rachel enhanced proposals and marketing initiatives while collaborating with teams across North America. Rachel began a career in editing with an internship at West Virginia University Press, where editing and design skills were developed. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from West Virginia University.
