Joey Sham

Joey Sham has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at TD as an Enterprise IT Architect and IT Architect Analyst. In 2017, they also worked at Interac Association and Acxsys Corporation as a Data Scientist, at BrainStation as a Lead Educator in Data Analytics, Data Science, and Machine Learning, and at Decisiion as a Data Science Consultant. In 2018, they worked at Super as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and at Hubba as a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Engineer. In 2020, they worked at Aive as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Joey is currently working at EPF Ecole d'Ingénieur-e-s as a Professor and has also volunteered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2016 and mentored at Hack the North in 2016.

Joey Sham obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Elementary Particle Physics from McMaster University between 2012 and 2015. Joey also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Engineering Physics & Management, Specializing in Nuclear and Energy Systems from McMaster University between 2007 and 2012. In addition, they hold certifications in Big Data on AWS from Qwiklabs obtained in April 2017 and a Machine Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates obtained in September 2016.
