Ari-Pekka Repo

Ari-Pekka Repo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Currently, they are a Senior Technical Product Manager at Aiven, where they manage the Aiven platform product in the billing and marketplaces domain. Ari-Pekka is responsible for evolving the Aiven offering to reach a wider market through integration with major hyperscalers. Prior to this role, they served as a Technical Product Owner at Aiven, where they owned roadmaps for public interfaces, cloud marketplace integrations, and billing domain, and coordinated product development and launches.

Before joining Aiven, Ari-Pekka Repo worked at Tata Consultancy Services as a Tech Lead, Lead Developer, and Technical Team Lead/Project Manager. In these roles, they were responsible for software development and maintenance, solution architecture design, and managing distributed development project teams. Ari-Pekka also served as a Service Manager, where they managed joint operations and development teams and provided outsourcing transition support.

Ari-Pekka Repo began their career at Elisa as a Senior Software Designer & ScrumMaster, and later, as a Production Manager. In these roles, they managed operations teams, handled change and incident management, and contributed to systems architecture work.

Prior to Elisa, they worked at Nokia as a Senior Software Designer & ScrumMaster, and at SysOpen Digia as a System Designer. Ari-Pekka also had a research assistant role at the University of Oulu, where they implemented a virtual reality application for usability testing and prototyping.

Throughout their career, Ari-Pekka Repo has gained experience in technical product management, software development, team management, solution architecture, and project delivery.

Ari-Pekka Repo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Processing Science from the University of Oulu, where they studied from 1999 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained various certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Enterprise Architecture Foundations, Exam Tips: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA-C02), Software Architecture Foundations, Software Architecture: Domain-Driven Design, Project Leadership, Certified SAFe Agilist, ITIL Foundation, CA Wily Introscope for Java r8.1: Up and Running 200 Bundle, Certified Scrummaster, and ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing. The certification dates range from 2004 to 2020.
