Bogdan Petre

Bogdan Petre is a software engineer with a diverse work experience. Bogdan currently works at Aiven as a software engineer. Prior to that, they worked at sennder as a senior software engineer, where they were responsible for managing and exposing carriers' data through REST APIs and Kafka events. Bogdan also implemented a Dead Letter Queue mechanism and led a company-wide email tool migration. Before sennder, Bogdan worked at BCG Platinion as a senior software engineer. There, they developed a PoC for an integrated omni-channel backend for a Polish bank and coordinated a team of 8 engineers. Bogdan also worked on a project deploying an ML model for a German health insurer and maintained a digital maturity assessment tool for a government agency in South East Asia. Before their time at BCG Platinion, Bogdan worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Groningen and as a software engineer at Tellence Technologies, where they worked on an online marketplace for wellness services. Bogdan also had an internship as a software engineering intern at Kepler-Rominfo.

Bogdan Petre has a solid education history in the field of Computer Science. Bogdan completed their high school education at Colegiul National Mihai Viteazul Ploiesti from 2009 to 2013, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest from 2013 to 2017, specializing in Computer Science. Building on their undergraduate education, Bogdan went on to obtain a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Groningen between 2017 and 2019.
