Surya Murugaian

Surya Murugaian has a diverse work experience spanning seven years. In 2021, they joined Aiven as a Platform Engineer (Support). In 2020, they worked as a Data Science Intern at Soulpage IT Solutions, where they utilized TensorFlow JS and Python to implement deep learning techniques for Real-time Noise Suppression on Videoconferencing tool and developed an Image similarity pipeline for copy detection and image tampering. In 2017, they worked as a Graduate Engineer at Ericsson India, where they developed a rule-based script to automate ticket mapping as per its parameters and utilized Pandas and SQLAlchemy to automate invoice data management. In 2014, they worked as an Automation Intern at Roots Industries India Limited.

Surya Murugaian completed a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo between 2019 and 2020. Surya also completed a Bachelor's Degree in EEE, First Class with Distinction (Best Outgoing Student) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore between 2013 and 2017. Before that, Surya Murugaian attended The Indian Public School Erode & Salem between 2007 and 2011. In addition, Surya Murugaian has obtained several certifications, including Autonomous Mobile Robots from edX in 2018, Introduction to HTML5 from Coursera in 2017, Introduction to the Internet of Things and Embedded Systems from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015, The Arduino Platform and C Programming from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015, Linear Circuits from Coursera in 2014, and Control of Mobile Robots from Coursera in 2014.
