Tommi Vainikainen

Tommi Vainikainen has a long and varied work experience. Tommi began their career in 1997 as a Trainee at the Nokia Research Center. Tommi took on the same role two more times at the same company in 2000 and 2001. In 2004, they moved to Conformiq Software Ltd. where they served as a Senior System Architect, Senior Software Developer, and Software Developer. In 2016, they became a Senior Software Developer at Elisa Appelsiini. In 2017, they began working at Kyyti Group where they served as both a Senior Software Engineer and a Director of Engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Aiven. Additionally, they have been a Father at Home since 2013.

Tommi Vainikainen obtained their M. Sc. (Tech.) in Theoretical Computer Science from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan between 1999 and 2005. Prior to that, they obtained their Matriculation Examination in Mathematics and Computer Science from Päivölä in 1997 and 1999. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Coursera in Principles of Reactive Programming (2013) and Functional Programming Principles in Scala (2012).
