Lionel Riou França

Lionel Riou França currently serves as RWE Chief Scientific Officer at AIXIAL GROUP since March 2023, overseeing the company's real-world evidence initiatives, which include the strategic guidance and execution of various studies. Previously, Lionel worked at Sanofi as a Project Lead Statistician from April 2019 to February 2023, contributing to post-marketing studies related to rare diseases, multiple sclerosis, and cardiovascular issues. Prior to this, Lionel was a Senior Global Epidemiologist at Boehringer Ingelheim, focusing on the GLORIA-AF multinational disease registry. Lionel's career also includes experience as a Pharmacoepidemiologist at Phisquare and as a Project Manager at REES France, where Lionel led cost-effectiveness and non-interventional studies. Lionel's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Pierre and Marie Curie University, as well as Master's degrees in Biostatistics and Public Health.
