Yubei Chen

Yubei Chen is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, in the departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Neuroscience, while also leading the Self-Supervised Learning Lab. As a co-founder and TAB Chair at AIZIP, Yubei Chen focuses on developing robust, efficient, and scalable AI. Previous roles include a Postdoctoral Associate at the NYU Center for Data Science, working with Professor Yann LeCun, and a Postdoctoral Researcher at Meta within the Fundamental AI Research group. Earlier experience includes a significant tenure at the University of California, Berkeley, where Yubei Chen engaged in research on unsupervised learning and computational neuroscience, alongside computer vision projects. Yubei Chen holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, as well as two master's degrees in Pure Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University.
