Sonya A Matsumoto has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of accounting. Sonya A began their career as a Staff Accountant at Mosstype Corp from September 1999 to May 2001. Sonya A then joined Coperion in 2001, where they held various positions including Staff Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Manager of Corporate Accounting. At Coperion, they were responsible for financial statement review, month-end closings, intercompany reconciliations, and budget analysis. In December 2015, Sonya joined Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc. where they progressively advanced from Accounting Manager to Associate Director Controller Accounting, Director Controller Accounting, and most recently, Senior Director Controller Accounting. In their current role at Ajinomoto, they manage financial, tax, and internal audits, prepares consolidated financial packages, and monitors corporate assets. With their strong expertise and experience, Sonya has proven herself as a capable and knowledgeable CPA with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Sonya A Matsumoto, CPA, CFE completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Rutgers University - Newark, where they studied from 1990 to 1996. Sonya A later obtained various additional certifications, including becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the NJ State Board of Accountancy in July 2016. Sonya A also gained certifications in SAP Accounts Receivable Accounting, SAP Basic Accounts Payable Accounting, SAP Financial Period End Closing, and SAP General Ledger Accounting from the Michael Management Corporation in December 2015.
