Dries van Den Bossche

Dries Van den Bossche is a skilled project manager currently employed at Ajinomoto Omnichem since May 2025, overseeing projects from R&D through production and delivery while translating supply agreements into detailed Project Charters. Prior to this role, Dries served as Team Leader in Medicinal Chemistry at Galapagos from September 2017 to April 2025, after progressing through positions as Senior Scientist and Scientist in the same field, where expertise in problem-solving and organic synthesis was developed. Dries has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuroscience Medicinal Chemistry at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from August 2015 to July 2017, focusing on the design and synthesis of innovative BACE-inhibitors. Dries earned a PhD in Chemistry from Ghent University, where research centered on the total synthesis of natural product analogues, complemented by a Master of Science in Chemistry from the same institution.
