Michael Swasey

Michael Swasey has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on operations and management. Michael currently works as the Senior Vice President of Operations at AJS Hotels. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Vice President of Operations at Crescent Hotels & Resorts. Michael has also served as the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations at Marcus Hotels & Resorts, where they managed a large portfolio consisting of numerous properties nationwide. Earlier in their career, they worked as the Head of Hotel Operations / Asset Management at Alena Hospitality and as the Vice President of Asset Management at Inland American Lodging Management, LLC. Michael has also held positions at BF Saul Company - Hotel Division, Legacy Hospitality Inc., InterContinental Hotels Group, and Sage Hospitality. Throughout their career, they have achieved outstanding results, exceeding revenue targets and earning accolades such as Conde Nast and AAA Four Diamond awards.

Michael Swasey received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Michael later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree at the University of Utah between 1992 and 1994. Additionally, they have a certification in hotel administration called CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator).
