Anja Maier

Anja Maier is a highly accomplished academic with extensive experience in engineering and design. Currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management at the University of Strathclyde since September 2021, Anja Maier has also held the position of Co-Editor in Chief at Design Science since February 2016 and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Engineering Design. Involvement with professional organizations includes roles as Vice President and Treasurer for The Design Society, Fellow of INCOSE, the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, and acatech. Previous academic positions include Professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark and Research Associate at the University of Cambridge. Anja Maier holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Political Science, Communication Science, and Philosophy from the University of Münster.
