Alka M. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across prominent technology companies. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Akamai Technologies since March 2022, Alka is responsible for App & API Protection. Previously, Alka held the position of Global Head & Sr. Director of Engineering at RSA Security from 2018 to March 2022, overseeing the Identity Access Management suite of products. Additional experience includes Senior Vice President of Engineering at SevOne, Senior Director of Engineering at Dell EMC, and Director of Software Engineering at CA Technologies. Early career achievements include roles as Principal Software Engineer and Software Engineering Manager at Nortel. Alka holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, as well as a Master’s degree in Management from Harvard University, complemented by participation in leadership development programs at CA Technologies and Nortel Networks.
