Giora Engel

Giora Engel is an accomplished executive in the technology and cybersecurity sectors, currently serving as Vice President of Business Development & Product Strategy at Akamai Technologies since May 2023, where Giora leads initiatives for the company's security business. Prior to this role, Giora co-founded neosec.com, acting as CEO and VP of Product Strategy, focusing on API misuse and abuse detection from February 2020 to March 2025. Additional experience includes leadership positions at Palo Alto Networks, where Giora served as VP of Product Management and contributed to the development of automated behavioral analytics for security platforms. Other roles include founding LightCyber, Inc., serving as Fraud Monitoring Task Force Chair at the Financial Data Exchange, and extensive tenure in the IDF. Giora holds a B.Sc. in Physics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
