Jim Wyllie

Jim Wyllie is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering and performance engineering. As a Senior Director at Akamai Technologies since July 2008, Jim has successfully designed and launched the SRE team for core CDN products, managed a team of approximately 60 engineers, and participated as a technical lead. Previous roles at Akamai include Director of Performance Engineering, where Jim oversaw global service performance and customer technical needs, and Senior Manager of Performance Engineering, where Jim achieved high team retention and recognition for promoting engineering development. Earlier career experiences include software engineering positions at BCSEngineering, Verizon Federal Network Systems, and an educational fellowship in STEAM initiatives. Jim holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ohio University.
