Changdong Yang

Changdong Yang is a Senior Simulation Engineer at Chevron, leading cross-functional teams for the co-development of cloud-native field development planning (FDPlan) in collaboration with SLB. With a strong background in reservoir simulation engineering, Changdong has contributed to various initiatives, including the development of customized workflows and a patented physics-based proxy model for rapid decision-making in reservoir performance. Previously, Changdong held roles as a Simulation Engineer and Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, where notable work included optimizing hydraulic fracture geometry and developing model calibration workflows. Educationally, Changdong holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University and a B.Eng. in Engineering Mechanics from Peking University.
