Jorge Barral

Jorge Barral is a highly experienced technology professional with a robust background in network engineering, security, and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Platform Operations Engineer at Akamai Technologies since May 2014, Jorge has held various roles including Solutions Architect II and Provisioning Engineer. Prior to Akamai, significant contributions were made at Adexus as a Network and Security Engineer, where Jorge designed the network for the Number Portability solution in Chile. Jorge's earlier experience includes roles at Scotiabank Chile, Neosecure S.A., and Telefónica Chile, focusing on network integration, security configurations, and data center management. Educationally, Jorge holds a Specialty Diploma in IT Management from Universidad de Chile and a degree in Telematics Engineering from CIISA, Instituto de Ciencias Tecnológicas.
