Kavitha Venkatesan

Kavitha Venkatesan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and leadership. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Engineering in the Cloud Technology Group at Akamai Technologies since June 2018, Kavitha has previously held positions as Director of Engineering in the Edge Technology Group and Senior Engineering Manager. Prior to joining Akamai, Kavitha worked at Harmonic from August 2007 to May 2018, where responsibilities included leading software engineering teams and defining product roadmaps. Additional experience includes roles at LSI Corp, Cisco, and an EDA Startup focused on software engineering for various multimedia and network applications. Kavitha holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from San José State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
