Giovanni Paolo Gibilisco started their work experience in 2015 as a Visiting Researcher at IBM. In 2016, they joined Moviri as a Consultant and later became a Senior Consultant before leaving in 2018. From 2012 to 2016, Gibilisco was a Student at Politecnico di Milano. In 2018, they became the Head of Engineering at AKAMAS, where they led the development of an AI-powered, self-driving solution for optimizing IT stack configurations.
Giovanni Paolo Gibilisco obtained their education in the field of Computer Science. Giovanni Paolo first attended Politecnico di Milano from 2007 to 2010, where they completed their undergraduate degree, a Laurea Triennale, in Ingegneria Informatica. Giovanni Paolo then continued their studies at the same institution from 2009 to 2012 and obtained a Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria Informatica. Following that, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago. Finally, from 2012 to 2016, Gibilisco attended Politecnico di Milano again and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science.
In addition to their formal education, Gibilisco obtained several certifications. In February 2017, they became a Splunk Power User and also acquired the Splunk Sales Rep I certification from Splunk. Later in November 2017, they obtained the Dynatrace Associate certification from Dynatrace. Finally, in July 2019, they became a Certified ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance.
