Carolann Reiber

Carolann Reiber has over 18 years of experience in the field of pharmacovigilance. Carolann'smost recent position was at Akebia Therapeutics as the Director of Pharmacovigilance Operations and Alliance Management. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing case processing activities performed by vendors, managing a PV clinical operations team, and maintaining pharmacovigilance agreements with business partners.

Before that, Carolann worked at Takeda as an Associate Director of Business Partner Relations for Global Patient Safety Evaluation. Carolann led PV alliances and partnerships, implemented process improvements, and served as the subject matter expert for transitioning PVAs and partner relationships from an acquired company.

Prior to Takeda, they held various positions at ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. including Associate Director of Pharmacovigilance Compliance and Alliance Management, Senior Manager of Pharmacovigilance Operations, and Senior Pharmacovigilance Specialist. In these roles, they were responsible for global alignment of pharmacovigilance agreements, assessed compliance metrics, and provided oversight to third-party vendors for reporting serious adverse events.

Carolann's earlier experience includes working as a Clinical Trial Safety Associate at Biogen Idec and as a Clinical Trial Control Quality Safety Specialist at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, where they focused on contract management and quality control of safety-related activities in clinical trials.

Carolann Reiber has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Carolann also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from St Anselm College.
