Irfan Ullah's work experience includes holding the position of Associate Medical Director - Clinical Development at Akebia Therapeutics since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Clinical Research at North Dallas Research Associates from July 2011 to July 2022.

Irfan Ullah completed their education with a Master's degree in Global Clinical & Pharmacovigilance Regulations from Temple University in the years 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine from Rawalpindi Medical University from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, they hold several certifications, including being a Board Certified Diplomate in Quality Assurance & Utilization Review from the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP) in October 2019, a Certified Clinical Research Professional from SoCRA in April 2011, and being a Medical Practitioner certified by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council in June 2000.
