Ozlem Ataunal

Özlem Ataünal is the Chairman at Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS, and was previously an Executive Committee Member (Strategy and Finance) at Akkök Holding. At Akkök Holding, they were responsible for Strategy and Business Development as well as Finance. Özlem was also a Board Member of Akkök Group Companies and its Joint Ventures, and a Risk Management Committee Member of Akkok Holding.

Before their time at Akkök Holding, Özlem was the Chief Financial Officer at another company. In this role, they collaborated with the CEO to develop the business and operational model for the Group. Özlem also arranged financing to support the growth strategy of the Group, and accomplished intercompany share restructuring which entailed simplification of equity involvements. Furthermore, they devised effective control systems to accurately portray the financial position of the Group; arranged the implementation of new multi-company budgeting, reporting and consolidation system; and designed executive and management reporting.

Özlem Ataünal has a degree in business administration from Uludag University. Özlem also has a certification from IE Business School in the Global Senior Management Program - 2. Additionally, they have a certification from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education in the Global Senior Management Program - 1. Finally, they have two certifications from Harvard Business School, one in Corporate Level Strategy and the other in Building and Sustaining a Successful Enterprise.
