George Lorgen

George Lorgen is a Senior Completion Engineer with extensive experience in well completion and operations. Currently at Aker BP ASA since May 2024, Lorgen has a significant background with Ridge AS, providing consultancy and technical study work since May 2014. Lorgen has a strong focus on high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) projects, with relevant experience dating back to 1997. Previous roles include senior positions at Vår Energi and multiple tenures at Aker BP ASA, where key projects involved the Tambar and Ula Infill Well Projects. Previous experience also includes significant project management roles at Baker Hughes Norway, DONG Energy, and Baker Oil Tools, encompassing various HPHT projects and the successful completion of multiple wells. Lorgen holds an HND in Mechanical & Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University and has completed relevant mechanical engineering education and apprenticeships.
