Kjetil Skjeldestad has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kjetil is currently serving as the Vice President Well Engineering at Aker Energy AS since November 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Performance Excellence / Digitalization, Drilling & Wells at Aker Energy AS from March 2019 to November 2019.

Kjetil also worked as a Summer Project intern at Statoil in 2008 and as a Summer Intern - Operator at Norsk Hydro from 2004 to 2007.

Their early work experience includes a role as a Ski-lift Operator at Aspen Skiing Company in 2003.

Kjetil Skjeldestad completed their education with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in the years 2005 to 2010. Kjetil also pursued a non-degree program in the Norwegian entrepreneurship graduate program at the Questrom School of Business, Boston University in 2009. Before that, Kjetil Skjeldestad obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Art History from the University of Bergen (UiB) in the academic year 2004 to 2005. Additionally, they attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) for one year from 2002 to 2003. Kjetil Skjeldestad completed their high school education and obtained an Examen Artium at Sogndal vgs in 2002. Kjetil furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from 2016 to 2018. In terms of certifications, Kjetil Skjeldestad has completed various programs, such as the IWCF Subsea Supervisor Level 4, W320 Advanced Well Control, Shell Round 2 Well Engineering Certificate, and Shell Round 1 Well Engineering Certificate, all obtained from Shell.
