Luis A. Perez Hernandez

Luis A. Perez Hernandez serves as Co-Office Managing Partner and Chair of the Latin America Practice at Akerman LLP since April 2010. With a strong background in commercial litigation and arbitration, Luis handles cases across the United States and Latin America in various sectors, including manufacturing, defense contracting, energy, technology, financial services, and medical devices. Prior to Akerman, Luis was a Partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon, focusing on dispute resolutions in Latin America, and held the position of Partner in the Business Section at Adams and Reese LLP, where the emphasis was on commercial litigation. Luis earned a JD in Civil Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a BBS in Finance from Loyola University New Orleans.
