Kitty Yale has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Kitty started their career at Pfizer as a Culture Improvement Scientist from 1992 to 1995. Kitty then moved on to Innovex as a Clinical Research Associate from 1995 to 1997. Kitty joined Roche and worked as a Clinical Operations Associate from 1997 to 1999 and later as a Clinical Program Manager from 1999 to 2001. Kitty then joined Gilead Sciences, where they held multiple roles such as Associate Director, Director, Sr Director, and Vice President from 2001 to 2018. Currently, they are serving as the EVP and Chief Development Officer at Akero Therapeutics, a position they have held since October 2018.

Kitty Yale attended Glasgow Caledonian University from 1988 to 1992, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Biology.
