Simon Bäckelin serves as Head of Strategic Development and Strategist/Planner at Åkestam Holst / NoA since August 2022, focusing on advertising strategy, brand positioning, and sales for major clients such as MAX Hamburgare and Supercell. Previously, Simon held the position of Head of Strategy at INGO Stockholm for nearly five years and was a Brand Strategist at Åkestam Holst from 2014 to 2017. Early in Simon's career, planning roles were undertaken at SWE Advertising and JWT Stockholm, where significant contributions were made to developing agency capabilities in planning and digital services. Simon's early experience includes military service as a Ranger in the Swedish Armed Forces. Simon Bäckelin's educational background features a Mini MBA in Brand Management and degrees in Media Design and Communication, alongside diplomas in account planning and digital strategy.
