Gabriel Beltran

Gabriel Beltran is the Director of IT at Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School. Gabriel has over 6 years of experience in the field of IT, with a focus on system administration and developing and implementing technology plans.

Gabriel Beltran began their career in IT as a System Administrator for Audit Analytics in March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for managing and supporting Active Directory, O365, Google for Education, Student Information Systems and all computer software and hardware. Gabriel also created a disaster recovery plan, with offsite backups and replication to Microsoft Azure.

In June 2015, Gabriel Beltran became the Director of Technology at Saint Mary School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. In this role, they developed and implemented the school's strategic technology plan, which increased the network bandwidth, added security and manageability, and resulted in higher productivity of employees and learning in students. Some of their notable achievements in this role include resolving overspending in telephone and internet services by creating a point-to-point bridge between locations, reducing service costs by 15%; redesigning the network to accommodate Faculty, Students and Guest access by implementing VLANs, Network Policy Server, Network management controller and Guest portal; and consolidating servers by migrating physical servers and vms hosted in ESXi to Microsoft Hyper-V, reducing license costs and increasing manageability.

Gabriel Beltran has been with their current organization, Abby Kelley Foster Charter Public School, since September 2021. In their role as Director of IT, they are responsible for leading the school's information technology team and overseeing all IT-related activities. Gabriel has continued to implement innovative solutions that have improved the efficiency of the school's operations and increased student learning.
