Michael Kissner

Michael Kissner is a Co-Founder of Akhetonics, involved in creating the first all-optical XPU since 2021. Additionally, Michael participates as a Community Member at 2hearts, a non-profit focused on enhancing cultural diversity within the tech sector to support underprivileged minorities. Previous experience includes serving as a Lead Cyber Security Researcher at a company under NDA from 2019 to 2021, and as a Doctoral Candidate at Universität der Bundeswehr München from 2017 to 2020, where research centered on computer vision and deep learning. Michael held roles as Lead Security Software Engineer and Army Officer (Airborne) with the Bundeswehr from 2006 to 2018. Educational qualifications include a Dr. rer. nat. in Computer Vision / Deep Learning and a Master of Science in Mathematical Engineering from Bundeswehr University Munich, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Engineering - Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik.
