Daeho Kim has a strong background in materials engineering and research. Daeho began their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Research Center for Oxide Electronics in 2003 and continued their research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, focusing on complex metal oxide thin films. Following this, they joined Tulane University as an Assistant Professor, where they received research grants. In 2012, they joined Samsung Electro-Mechanics as a Principal Engineer, specializing in MEMS sensors and BAW resonators. Currently, they hold roles at Akoustis Technologies, Inc. (AKTS), starting as a Staff Device Engineer before moving up to Engineering Manager and eventually becoming the Director of Device Engineering. Throughout their career, they have led teams in developing innovative electronic devices and materials.
Daeho Kim pursued their Bachelor's degree in Physics Teacher Education at Seoul National University from 1993 to 1997. Daeho then went on to complete their Master of Science (M.S.) in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at the same institution from 1997 to 1999. Later, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the field of Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from Seoul National University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003.
