Jeffrey B. Shealy is the current CEO at Akoustis. Jeffrey was previously the VP & GM at RFMD from October 2001 to February 2014. Their responsibilities included managing a $65M P&L for the business unit developing compound semiconductor solutions for commercial and military markets, key financial metrics, and business functions including product management, design engineering, business development and applications engineering. Jeffrey also managed and staffed 7 domestic/international remote design teams and was responsible for $30M+ in cumulative Contract R&D funding from DoD and outside partners for GaN technology.

Shealy was also the VP at RFMD-IPL Subsidiary from 2001 to 2007, where they led R&D development of first generation GaN RF Power Technology after acquisition of RF Nitro and commenced transfer R&D pilot line to manufacturing environment. Jeffrey also developed the infrastructure strategy and business plan for non-cellular business, and managed a $20M P&L developing compound semiconductor driver and power amplifiers for commercial wireless and military markets.

Jeffrey B. Shealy has a MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Jeffrey also attended Hendersonville High School.
