Kristin Schmidt

Kristin Schmidt is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technical applications and training within the biotechnology sector. Currently serving as the Global Training Manager at Akoya Biosciences, Inc. since October 2018, Kristin was promoted to establish the organization's Center for Education and Training (ASCENT) and collaborates with various departments to enhance the Commercial organization's training efforts, contributing to significant revenue growth. Prior roles include Senior Field Applications Scientist at Akoya, Field Application Specialist at PerkinElmer, and several positions in technical applications at Life Technologies, MDS Analytical Technologies, Molecular Devices Corporation, and Arcturus Bioscience. Kristin began a career in scientific research as a Staff Research Assistant II at UCLA after earning a BS in Physiological Science from the institution in 1998.
