Ryan Magalhaes

Ryan Magalhaes has a diverse work experience in the field of design and visual communication. Ryan is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Akoya since February 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Art Director & Senior UI Designer at 829 Studios - Digital Agency & Marketing Consultancy from September 2020 to February 2022. Ryan also worked as a Senior Visual Designer at Humana from May 2020 to September 2020.

Before their roles in digital agencies, Ryan gained experience at Compass as a Designer from December 2018 to March 2020. Ryan worked as an Interactive Designer and later as a Designer at Proverb Agency from March 2018 to December 2018, and from December 2015 to March 2018, respectively. Ryan started their career as a Junior Graphic Designer at NutraClick (formerly Hungry Fish Media) from January 2015 to December 2015.

Ryan also has experience as a freelance designer. Ryan worked as a Freelance Digital Designer at Spring Rewards in December 2014 and January 2015. Ryan also provided freelance graphic design services to Angel's Envy from October 2014 to January 2015, and to Four Corners Tavern Group from June 2014 to November 2014. Additionally, they interned as a Creative Intern and served as a Freelance Junior Art Director at Upshot from June 2014 to August 2014 and from August 2014 to October 2014, respectively.

Ryan Magalhaes completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Graphic Design at Columbia College Chicago from 2011 to 2013. In addition, they obtained certifications in "User Experience Design" from General Assembly in March 2017 and in "Leading for Creativity" from IDEO U in February 2020.
