Alexandra Vukoder is the Chief Advancement and Communications Officer at Akron Art Museum. Alexandra has over 19 years of experience in the communications and marketing field.

Prior to joining Akron Art Museum, Alexandra was the Senior Communications, Marketing & Media Relations Strategist at the American Cancer Society. In this role, they directed the Communications and Marketing for the North Central Region, which included Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Alexandra also served as the Director of Field Communications and Media Relations at the Global Headquarters and as the Senior Director of Media Relations and Income Communications for the East Central Division.

Alexandra began their career with the American Cancer Society as the Cancer Control Manager for the Ohio Division in 2002. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing cancer control programs across the state of Ohio. Alexandra has a passion for their work and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

Alexandra Vukoder has a degree from The University of Akron and certification from Google in Google Ads Certification Display, Search, Shopping. Alexandra also has certification from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in Accredited Public Relations( APR).
