Christopher Murphy has a diverse work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Christopher is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Akron Bio since December 2022. Prior to that, they were the Vice President/General Manager of Viral Vector Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific from May 2019 to June 2022. From June 2017 to May 2019, they held the position of Chief Operations Officer at Brammer Bio. Before that, they worked at Sanofi, where they served as the General Manager/Vice President from July 2016 to June 2017 and as the Vice President of Operations from January 2001 to June 2016. Christopher played a crucial role in establishing the Allston Integrated Remediation program at Sanofi, focusing on facility remediation and process validation. Christopher also has experience as the Director of Contract Manufacturing at BioReliance from April 1998 to January 2001 and as a Manufacturing Supervisor at Wyeth Biotech from April 1988 to April 1998.
Christopher Murphy completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Rutgers University, where they attended from 1983 to 1987. Following this, they pursued further education at New York Medical College from 1989 to 1995, obtaining a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry.
