Darrin Toney

Darrin Toney's work experience includes serving as the General Counsel and Director of Human Resources at the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority since 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Attorney at Darrin R. Toney Co., L.P.A. from 2014 to 2015. From 2001 to 2014, Toney was an Attorney and Partner at Brennan Manna & Diamond, specializing in commercial/business litigation, employment and labor law, healthcare law, real estate law, contract law, school law, and nonprofit organization law. Darrin also worked as an Assistant General Counsel at Youngstown State University in 2002 and as an Associate General Counsel for the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services from 1999 to 2001. Toney has additional legal experience as a Part-Time Lecturer at the University of Akron, a Judicial Attorney at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas, a Law Clerk at Edward L. Gilbert CO, and a Law Clerk at the Appellate Review Office. Prior to their legal career, Toney served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Mississippi Army National Guard.
