Malcolm J. Costa

Malcolm J. Costa is the current President & CEO at Akron Summit Community Action. Malcolm has held this position since 2011. Prior to this, they were the Chairman, Trustee, and Administrator of the Greater Ohio Health and Welfare Benefits Plan from 1983 to 2011. From 1973 to 1973, they were the Associate Director of the Institute for Innercity Education at the University of Akron. In 1986, they were the Deputy Campaign Manager/Statewide Minority Coordinator for Celeste in '86. And from 1974 to 1977, they were the Director of Student Development at Youngstown State University.

Malcolm J. Costa has a certification from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans as well as Certification as an Employee Benefits Trustee. Malcolm also holds a Master of Arts from The University of Akron in Public Administration as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theater also from The University of Akron.
