Steven Kratsis, PhD, has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Steven is currently the VP Australasia at Akselos, a company specializing in structural digital twin technology. In this role, they utilize patented algorithms developed over 15 years of research to protect critical infrastructure through real-time monitoring.
Prior to their current position, Dr. Kratsis served as the EMEA Director of Sales at Envirosuite, an Environmental Intelligence Technology company. Here, they led a sales team in the EMEA region to grow sales and assisted clients in industries such as construction, mining, and wastewater management.
From 2018 to 2019, Dr. Kratsis held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), where they focused on expanding sales globally in the oil and gas, chemicals, and pharmaceutical markets.
Before joining PSE, they worked at Aspen Technology as the Vice President of Regional Sales. In this role, they led sales teams based in China, Europe, and Australia, targeting industries such as chemicals, oil and gas, and engineering and construction.
Dr. Kratsis gained valuable experience as the National Sales Manager at Endress+Hauser Group, where they led a team of sales executives in Australia, catering to the mining, food and beverage, and water/wastewater markets.
Additionally, they served as the Sales Manager at Linde Material Handling and worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Murdoch University, conducting research on the interaction of chemical species in refinery processes.
Dr. Kratsis completed their PhD in Chemistry at Monash University, further enhancing their expertise in the field.
Steven Kratsis obtained their Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Physical Sciences from La Trobe University in the years 1990 to 1993. Steven then pursued further education and received their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemistry from Monash University from 1994 to 1998. To expand their knowledge beyond their scientific background, Kratsis pursued a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Management from RMIT University from 2001 to 2003.
