Katie Afflerback has worked for a number of companies since 2010. Katie began their career as a Front Desk employee for Elizabeth Arden in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Wedding Planner for Burroughs Home & Gardens and an Associate Director for ArtFest Fort Myers. In 2013, they became an Event Manager for Playlist Live. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Project Manager for AKT Enterprises and then Foxtail Coffee Co.

Katie Afflerback received their Bachelor's degree in Resort and Hospitality Management with an Event Management Concentration from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2012. Prior to that, they attended Coconut Creek High School from 2004 to 2008. In 2013, they obtained the Certified Festival & Event Executive (CFEE) certification from the International Festivals & Events Association.
