AKT II
Giuseppe Di Grande is an experienced structural engineer currently serving as an Associate Structural Engineer at AKT II since January 2025. Prior to this role, Giuseppe held various positions at McBains, including Principal and Senior Project Structural Engineer, from April 2022 to January 2025. Previous experience includes roles at Robert Bird Group as a Senior Engineer and Design Engineer, and at TZGPartnership as a Graduate Structural Engineer, where skills in CAD and Revit design were applied. Giuseppe's foundational experience in the field began with roles as a Group Leader at STS Turist Services and Sikelia Turism, planning excursions for tourists, and as a Civil Engineer at the Architectural Firm of Zampino Marcello, focusing on structural and geotechnical design. Giuseppe also gained early experience as a Stager at Eng. Alfio Campione SRL and the Transport Department at the Council of Caltagirone, contributing to geotechnical investigations and road safety studies. Giuseppe holds a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Università di Catania.

AKT II
AKT II is a design-led structural and civil engineering consultancy that has won over 300 awards for its work in the UK and across the world. The practice was formed in 1996 as Adams Kara Taylor and later known as AKT. In 2011, with the addition of two new Principals and as the next chapter in its progress, the practice was renamed AKT II. We believe in providing a high value and quality-driven model which draws on a wealth of experience through to the successful delivery of a project. In addition to the project work undertaken we work with academic institutions, industry forums, and design councils to enrich our knowledge and the projects on which we collaborate.
