Marjo Koivisto

Marjo Koivisto is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Head of Alternative Investments at Aktia since December 2024, where responsibilities include portfolio management and membership in the Asset Management Leadership Group. Previously, Marjo held the position of Investment Director, Alternatives, and Lead Portfolio Manager for Private Credit at Danske Bank from April 2023 to December 2024. At P Capital Partners, Marjo worked as Director and ESG & Investment Associate from April 2020 to April 2023, focusing on corporate credit and preferred equity transactions. Earlier roles include Head of ESG Quant and Co-Head of Responsible Investments at Nordea Asset Management, and Lead of Economics & Finance at the World Economic Forum. Marjo began a career at The World Bank as an analyst in project finance. Educational credentials include a Post Doctoral fellowship from Harvard University, a PhD in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics, and an executive certification in Business Finance and Corporate Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics.
