Ville Hemmilä

Ville Hemmilä is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset liability management and analysis within the insurance and banking sectors. Currently serving as the Head of ALM for Life Insurance at Aktia since August 2021, Ville previously held the position of Chief Analyst at Nordea from October 2019 to August 2021, and also at Nordea Markets from May 2011 to October 2019, contributing to a wide range of services in fixed income, currencies, commodities, and corporate finance. Prior experience includes roles as Controller and Head of Middle Office at Fennia, and Controller/Risk Analyst at Pension Fennia, where responsibilities encompassed solvency assessments, analytics, and regulatory reporting. Ville began a career in finance as a Mathematician in 2000, following the attainment of a Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics from the University of Helsinki.
