Anja Verbeke

Anja Verbeke serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at AkzoNobel since September 2020, overseeing the redesign and implementation of the company's global Integrity & Compliance program, focusing on areas such as anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and data privacy. Prior to this role, Anja held various positions at Baxter International Inc. from August 2007 to September 2020, including Chief Compliance Officer, where responsibilities included enhancing the global Ethics & Compliance Program and leading a team of 25. Anja's experience encompasses roles as Regional Head Ethics & Compliance EMEA and Senior Counsel in various capacities, where significant contributions were made to corporate law, regulatory matters, and strategic transactions across multiple regions. Anja holds a Master in Law from KU Leuven and Université catholique de Louvain.
