Ashanee Welendagoda

Ashanee Welendagoda has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Ashanee is currently working as the Head of Human Resources at AkzoNobel, where they support the implementation of the HR operating model and ensures alignment of HR processes with the business. Prior to this, Ashanee held various roles at CAL, starting as a Trainee and working their way up to Manager. Ashanee also worked as a Manager of Human Resources at Ceylon Tea Brokers PLC and Logicare. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong understanding of HR practices and has been involved in standardizing HR processes and compiling data for reviews.

Ashanee Welendagoda obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Management from the University of Wales, UK, from 2009-2012. Ashanee then pursued a Master's degree in Labour Relations and Human Resources Management at the University of Colombo, starting in 2016. In 2013, they completed Stage 01 of the PQHRM program in Human Resource Management at the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). Before their university education, Ashanee Welendagoda attended Sirimavo Bandaranayake Vidyalaya from 1995-2008.
